The woodcuts are a favorite for me.. They are expressive, raw, and full of energy. I love the scraping and ripping of the wood when I am working and the chips are flying. I am using water based ink on German etch paper which is made very near my home in Hannover.

Many of these wood cuts are of children. It is especially interesting to me that the rough surface of the wood lends itself to the expressive naive natures of children.
